This is the closest replica we have come across of O-Ren Ishii's Shirasaya. Most other replicas out there have kanjis on the Saya or Tuska that were not seen in the movie. Some blade out there don't even have the same design in the blade or handle. This replica is Handmade with a solid black Saya and Tsuka. The blade has been hand made and is full tang.
Attributes if the Weapon:Blade: The blade of the sword has been hand crafted of high carbon steel. The carbon has been hand hammered throughout the blade to give the blade a consistent hardness. A hamon runs the length of the blade ending in at the Kissake. A Bo-hi has been added to the top of the blade to reduce the weight of the blade and give audible feedback when it is swung. The blade comes very sharp with a thin edge finish. The sword comes full tang.Saya: The Saya is wooden with a solid black finish and heavy lacquer coat.
Tsuka: The Tsuka is wooden and blends seamlessly into the Saya. The Tang of the sword is secured by a single bamboo Mekugi. |
