This is the Hand Made Damascus Patterned Samurai Katana Sword.
Attributes of the Weapon:
Blade: The blades have been handmade with high carbon steel, hammered out so that the carbon is evenly distributed throughout the blades for a consistent hardness. The Damascus watermark has been added to the steel of the sword.
The blade features a wide shallow Bo-Hi (blood groove) for better balance and a audible feedback when the sword is swung. The Kissake is a medium size with a well defined Yokote. The sword comes full tang.
Saya: The Saya is constructed from hard wood with a black lacquer finish and a black cotton cord Ito tied around a wooden Kurigata. The Koi-Guchi has been lined and hardened.
Tsuba: The Habaki is a one piece brass construction. The Tsuba is in a Maru Gata style with lipped rim and a pattern of Ume Blossoms and vines. A Kozuka Hitsu-ana is on one side of the guard and a Kogai Hitsu-ana on the opposite side.
Tsuka: The Fuchi is blackened copper with a scene of a Japanese Palace. The Tsuka core is wooden with an imitation ray skin Same wrap. A black cotton Ito has been wrapped over the Same. Two blackened Menuki are on each side of the Tsuka in the likeness of a ninja. The Kashira features another ninja warrior.
